The sun has got his hat on... everyone in St Margarets is coming out to the Fair.

Is that Santa mingling in the crowds before things get really busy?

The stage and scene is set on this glorious crispy December morning... The suspense is mounting.

The Ugly Sisters spot the Mayor arriving.

"Cooey!!" the Ugly Sisters scream to try and get the Mayor's attention.

The Mayor is having none of it and tries to ignore the loud ladies behind her.

The Ugly Ladies have made so much fuss that the Mayor simply has to acknowledge them... at last!

Someone knows how to greet a lady properly...

Simon introduces the Mayor to Santa.

"And have you been good this year, Mayor?" asks Santa.

The Mayor suddenly goes all bashful.

"I've tried to be good!" exclaims the Mayor to Santa.

"Good!" said Santa. "That's all I can ask for."

"Well done Mayor!" said Santa. "Now, I must make tracks to my grotto. Lovely to meet you."

Santa's elf tries to pull him along on his route.

Santa's journey is long and hard, with so many good boys and girls to talk to along the way.

Santa continues on, his grotto in sight.

And still Santa has more children to talk to whilst he is on his parade to his grotto.

But the Ugly Sisters are determined to slow things down for Santa and are building up their own crowds, blocking the way to Santa's Grotto.

Thankfully Santa's elf is there to help things move. Santa was worried he might have to crawl through the Ugly Sister's legs to get past!

Just time for a quick photo outside Santa's Grotto - everyone say "cheeeese!"

So Santa begins his busy afternoon of meeting and greeting all of the local children in his grotto.

Whilst Santa works hard, Simon takes the Mayor on a tour of the Christmas stalls.

The Mayor is introduced to one of the Traders' Stall-hands. But what is happening down below?

Suddenly the owner of the stall realises that something has been stolen and accuses Simon of the crime.

Simon is quick to pass the blame... to anyone.

The Mayor continues to be given the full tour by Simon. Is there time for a quick coffee at Sunshine and Ravioli?

"I understand there is an award winning cheese shop in this street? Any idea where it is?" Asks the Mayor.

"It's behind you!" answers the stall holder.

The Mayor smiles sweetly, believing the stall holder is simply being festive and is into the Pantomine theme and continues on her search for the cheese. In the meantime...

...on stage the Ugly Sisters warm-up the crowds...

...whilst the puppet show bangs out more noise...

...the Mayor continues her hunt for the cheese. Is there time for a quick coffee at Zoran's?

"I'm on the hunt for cheese", whispers the Mayor. "Onward!" she orders.

Everyone is so into the festive mood, even the old are getting jiggy.

The celebs all turned-up and act the crowd into a frenzy...

...the puppets are just crazy!

The crowds are loving the dances (see the Fair Video Page for videos)...

...everyone is absorbed...

The turns are doing well...

...good jokes and banter...
...whilst the puppets freak-out...
...and the turns continue to whip up the audience...
More photos coming very very soon...

Late carousel fun.

The End.
