Footy Fans First to Watch Game in 3D.
Sports fans are in for a real treat at the St Margarets Tavern when live football is shown there for the first time in 3D this week.
The arrival of the latest state of the art technology - the 47 inch 3D TV - coincides with the launch of Sky's 3D TV channel on Saturday 3 April when the Barclays Premier League match pitching Manchester United against Chelsea will be shown. Read full story here...

The winner of the recent mystmargarets.com competition “I love St Margarets because...?” has been announced. The first prize of a £700 DSLR Canon EOS 450D Camera was finally awarded to 26 year old life-long St Margarets resident Kate Poxton.Sponsors Chase Buchanan who generously donated the first prize said "the competition was incredibly hard to judge. We were very surprised and delighted with the number of quality entries - it is evident a lot of time and love has gone into this."
The Chase Buchanan judges were faced with a daunting task with entries pouring in from local residents, schools, photographers and street tango dancers! Following a request for help from Santa Claus himself, the St Margarets Traders Association is delighted to announce that it has agreed to assist Santa this year by collecting children's letters written to him and forwarding them on to his Lapland address. Children will then be able to collect their personalised reply letters from Santa within a couple of days.
Television personality Lynn Faulds Wood lives with her husband John Stapleton, also a presenter, in St Margarets near Richmond. Come the weekend, they like to relax by grabbing a bite to eat, taking a leisurely walk along the river or frequenting the local shops"...The area has a great village atmosphere and at weekends you’ll often find us in the lovely local shops – and pubs.
