Chase Buchanan's director Michael is an active member of the community

This just in from Chase Buchanan, sponsors of the Turks Head 10k and St Margarets’ Crown Road Community Fair, both on Sunday June 8th:

“Chase Buchanan love being involved in local community events! Village Days - yes please! School Fairs - love them! Sports events - we’re all over them!

Unsurprisingly, we jumped at the opportunity to sponsor the annual Turks Head 10k run that is taking place on the 8th June. The race was once a small race about 25 years ago, when Chris Brazier was Landlord of the Turks Head pub but Caitlyn Limmer - the race organizer/promoter and keen runner, has made it her mission to reinstate the race and make it a more available distance so that all runners can take part. That’s exactly what she has done! The race is not just a race but a community event, something that brings people of all abilities together to enjoy a run through the beautiful Richmond Borough!

The race was brought to our attention by our Director - Michael Peacock, a marathon enthusiast, who immediately signed up to participate! We arranged to meet with Caitlyn to see how we could get involved and she offered us the opportunity to be an official sponsor - the race runs right through our catchment area, after all!

Starting and finishing on Marble Hill Park riverside, the beautiful route passes briefly through Twickenham, then joins the Thames towpath passing Teddington, Ham House, Petersham Field and Richmond Upon Thames. It’s a flat route, three quarters of which is on the River Thames.

Come and enjoy this beautiful area we live in. A great bonus about this route, if you have kids, is they can see you off at the start, play at the swings or in the park, have a cuppa at the cafe, and then watch you from across the water! (You should be at roughly half way at this point!) After the race, enjoy some food, ice cream and a live band to celebrate!

On the day, our staff will be cheering you on or chasing you to the finish line!”

Good luck Michael, and good luck to all you runners!
