My St Margarets Magazine - Spring 'Jubilee' 2012 Edition
Hello and welcome to this rather special edition of My St Margarets magazine.
For me, featured in this edition, are three must do visits - The Richmond Museum, Orleans Gallery and the Turner House. The twice yearly Fairs are so much fun and a good chance to catch up with friends and neighbours. This year’s Jubilee Fair in Crown Road on Sunday 3rd June sounds absolutely amazing. The fair is the traditional street fair that we all love and also a Jubilee celebration party. What could be better than enjoying the live music, street entertainers, the fun and games and then sitting down to a nice Jubilee tea with friends and neighbours!
Highlights in this edition include Martyn Day’s fascinating article about Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee and I was really taken by Chas’s article on antiques, I am amazed at the prices being fetched by some of the Titanic memorabilia. The centre pages feature a recent shopping trip made by a very special visitor who seems to have thoroughly enjoyed her visit to St Margarets - with so many independent specialist shops everyone is at home in St Margarets.
More Breaking News form the St Margarets Traders Association
It is with great regret we announce that the famous St Margarets Diamond has gone missing!
The story so far…
The famous and very valuable St Margarets Diamond was recently re-discovered in St Margarets after being lost for centuries. The diamond went on display for all to admire but unfortunately has gone missing again!
International diamond thief - Dia Monte has been seen in the area and Inspector Bright-Spark of the Yard has deduced that Dia Monte has stolen the diamond and hidden it somewhere in St Margarets. How does Inspector Bright Spark know this? Because a shopping list belonging to Dia Monte was found near to where the diamond was stolen.
Can you help Inspector Bright-Spark solve the clues and recover the diamond? Our friends at Churchills Estate Agents are offering a reward prize of a family break to a fun packed theme park to the lucky junior detective who solves the mystery. Clue sheets and entry forms are available from Churchills offices in St Margarets Road.
Follow @mystmargarets on Twitter and like us on Facebook for regular updates and further clues.
Help us and help Johnny’s Journey too…
Churchills will also make a donation to local charity Jonny’s Journey for every completed clue sheet that is returned to their offices in St Margarets Road.
Good luck
